Precise type
Designed in New York

⌘ Place of Interest is an independent type design studio operated since 2024 by Felix Summ.
The foundry's mission is to create high-quality font software for retail licensing and custom projects. The catalog offers thoughtfully drawn, original designs.

The oldest recorded ⌘ is found on a picture stone in Sweden carved between the years 400–600 AD.
⌘ is used in the designs of coins, jewelry, cookies, highway signage, and—most notably—operating systems. In the 1950s, information designers in Finland used ⌘ as a wayfinding marker for places of cultural interest.
In 1993, it was added to Unicode with the name “Place of Interest”—cementing its use for navigation and cultural importance.
